Approach

I have been in your shoes before...

I have been looking at different therapist websites and trying to figure out if they’re a good fit for me or not. You can only tell so much from a website. Please reach out and contact me and let’s set up a free initial consultation to better gauge if you’d like to work together.

I have had some really incredible therapy experiences and honestly, some pretty awful ones. The therapeutic relationship can be one of the most vulnerable relationships that you may have. It takes a lot of courage to open up to someone that you don’t know. It is important that you feel secure enough to be able to explore and process emotions and difficult experiences while being met without judgment. I want your therapy sessions to not only feel safe, but for you to feel truly heard and understood. This process should present opportunities for growth and transformation through questions, observations, support, and encouragement.

Therapy is not a “one-size-fits-all” approach and I will do my best to incorporate different theories and modalities that are best suited to you and your needs. These may include depth and psychodynamic psychology, trauma informed practices, principles of mindfulness, interpersonal neurobiology, polyvagal theory, a humanistic approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy.
